RECOMMENDED SPECIFICATION FOR CrC LINERS PLATES FOR CHUTES, HOPPERS AND SIMILAR EQUIPMENT.

The installation and successful use of CrC liner plates requires Specifications and Standards from the outset.  We manufacture all our liners to these details and tolerances and we suggest you INCORPORATE them into your Purchasing Specifications and Quality Control documentation.

DETAILS SPECIFICATION & TOLERANCE REASON
Size Measurement Plus 2mm, minus 3mm To minimise gaps, and thereby material "hang-ups"
Diagonal Measurement Plus 2mm, minus 2mm To minimise gaps, and thereby material "hang-ups", and easy assembly.  This is not always noticed until installation is attempted
Flatness Max. 2mm deviation over 500mm To prevent "hang-ups" and corrosion pockets
Smoothness Glassy appearance.  No fine pockets and no "sandpaper" appearance. To ensure quick material flow (CrC is very good for this), and easy start-up when the liners are new
Crack Pattern Relief cracks run across the weld bead.  ±40mm apart. Relief checks are normal with this alloy
Weld Beads No gaps, peaks or valleys between beads.  Stringer type beads not permitted. Prevents uneven wear and material "hang-ups"
Plate thickness Plus 0.5mm to Minus 0.5mm Prevents uneven wear and material "hang-ups" from overall roughness
Plasma Etching All part numbers permanently plasma etched on rear Quick and easy fitting on site.  Easy reordering .
Positioning of studs and/holes Plus 1mm or Minus 1mm Max Facilitates site assembly
Bead "chips" or "flaking" of surface NIL Q.C. during production prevents this
Storage Protection Painted Red Oxide Alkyd both sides Good corrosion control.  "Cheap" industrial enamels not permitted
Weld direction Not important but adhered to if specified by customer Due to excellent bead blending there are no soft spots.  Ask for etched sample
Studs Positioned within 2.0mm For easy installing and fixing
